States Authorized for Direct Shipment
Due to the ever-changing nature of wine shipping laws, we may be able to ship wines, directly or indirectly, to ony those states we either hold licences in or have reciprocal terms with California. If Story Winery, Inc. is unable to ship directly to your state, we can arrange for the sale and shipment of our products through a third party. Our preferred shipper in these cases is Amador Shipping. When shipping through Amador Shipping, you are contracting with Amador Shipping directly and Story Winery, Inc. does not have any involment nor can be held accountable for any issues with shiping. Please note, when dealing through a third party, wine prices, discounts, and shipping costs may differ from those quoted by Story Winery, Inc.
Federal Express Ground is Story Winery's carrier of choice. Ground shipping is provided by FedEx Groud and/or FedEx Home Delivery at current market rates. *Note – If the customer selects Fed Ex Air as his or her carrier, the customer pays all shipping charges, regardless of his or her wine club membership or purchase amount.
Wine is a Delicate Commodity
Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. Story Winery, Inc. is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. Please note, Story Winery, Inc. will not ship wine when local conditions exceed 90°F in the greater Sacramento region. Also note, that Story Winery, Inc. will typically only ship wine Mon-Thur's to locations in California and Mon-Wed when shipping to all other states. When your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.
