2016 Creekside Zinfandel
Estate Zinfandel

VINTAGE
The Creekside Vineyard was planted soon after the repeal of Prohibition in the mid-1930s. These old vines consistently produce beautiful bunches of complex fruit yielding an excellent zinfandel. This is a classic Amador County zin that is full bodied and spicy
VINEYARD
Creekside is a 7.5 acre vineyard lying atop decomposed granite soil (Sierra soil) and along a creek-bed that runs during the rainy season. The vineyard faces southwest benefitting from day-long sun exposure and gentle breezes. The vines are naturally stressed due to dry farming and head pruning techniques.
TASTE
Aromas of cherries, red licorice, cola, and tobacco greet the nose. On the palate, cherries, cola, and black pepper combine with balance of oak to form a full bodied zestful zinfandel.
